Millie Wood won the Isobel Cater Memorial Award for Humanities. Millie joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward VI Handsworth School for Girls for our one-year A level course in Psychology and achieved a grade A. Millie won a place to read Product Design at the University of Edinburgh.

Roxy (Qiuhan) Xu won the Gary Durrant Creative Arts Award. Roxy joined °µÍø½ûÇø from the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts in Shanghai for our two-year A level course in Art, Chinese and English Literature. Mwaka Musukwa won the Lower Sixth Prize. Mwaka joined °µÍø½ûÇø from the Banani International School in Zambia for our two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. She achieved outstanding results in her lower-sixth examinations alongside an A grade for her EPQ on the use of regenerative medicine in the prevention and treatment of myocardial infarctions.

James joined °µÍø½ûÇø for our one-year A level course in Mathematics, having completed his A levels at Solihull School where he had achieved grades CCB grade in Mathematics, Psychology and Physics. He retook Mathematics over one year, achieving an A*, and won a place to study Mechanical Engineering with a Year in Industry at the University of Liverpool.

Alex PringleÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø Value-Added award. Alex joined °µÍø½ûÇø from St Thomas More Catholic School, where she achieved grades ABBCCDDD in her GCSE examinations. At °µÍø½ûÇø she completed a two-year A level course in Classical Studies, English Literature and Religious Studies, achieving grades BBB and winning a place to read Ancient History at the University of Manchester.

Lwai AlmasriÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø GCSE award. Lwai joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Warwick School for our two-year GCSE course. He achieved grades 99888876 and is now studying a two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry and Economics at °µÍø½ûÇø.

Amrita ChanaÌýwon the NCUK Award. Amrita joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Kenya to study on this nationally accredited university foundation programme. Amrita achieved grades A*A*A*A* in the final examinations and won a place at the University of Leeds to read Architectural Engineering.

Wonjun KangÌýwon the Lower Sixth Award. Wonjun joined °µÍø½ûÇø from South Korea for our two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. He achieved A*A*A*A* in the end of year internal examinations alongside an A* for his Extended Project Qualification.

Louise LyuÌýwon the college’s Outstanding Academic Achievement award and the Nikul Patel Memorial Award for Mathematics. Louise joined °µÍø½ûÇø from China and completed a two-year A level programme in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, obtaining grades A*A*A*A*. Louise won a place to read Physics at Imperial College, London.

Meg AstonÌýwon the Principal’s Award for outstanding contribution to college life. Meg joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Stafford Grammar School, where she had obtained grades DDD in A level Business Studies, Psychology and History. Retaking the same subjects at °µÍø½ûÇø, she achieved grades A*AB and won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham.

Pranay RupareliaÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø Medicine award. Pranay transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after completing his A levels at Caterham School, where he had obtained grades BCB in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. At °µÍø½ûÇø he retook these subjects over one year, achieving grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London.

Yusra KhanÌýwon the Dentistry award. Yusra transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after completing her A levels at Queen Mary’s Grammar School where she had obtained grades BBC in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. At °µÍø½ûÇø she studied a one-year A level programme in Biology and Chemistry and a January to June A level course in Geography. She gained grades AAB and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Leeds.

Olivia Mcdonald-MeyerÌýwon the Veterinary award. Olivia transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after her first year at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, where she had obtained grades BCC in AS level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Completing the full A levels in these subjects at °µÍø½ûÇø over one year, she gained grades AAA and won a place to read Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool.

Phoebe GeorgevicÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø Humanities award. Phoebe joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward VI Five Ways School, where she had obtained grades BBC in A level Economics, Mathematics and History. She retook these subjects at °µÍø½ûÇø over one year, gaining grades AAA and winning a place to read Economics at the University of Manchester.

Ala BashirÌýandÌýBinita PatelÌýshared the °µÍø½ûÇø Science award. Ala joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys, where he had obtained grades BBB in A level Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. At °µÍø½ûÇø he retook these subjects over a combination of one-year and January to June courses, achieving grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London. Binita joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward VI Handsworth School, where she had obtained A level grades CCD in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. At °µÍø½ûÇø she retook these subjects over one year, achieving grades AAA and winning a place to read Optometry at Aston University.

Joe LambÌýwon the Value-Added award. He joined °µÍø½ûÇø after achieving GCSE grades AAAAABBCCC at Bromsgrove School. At °µÍø½ûÇø he took our two-year A level course in Geography, Business Studies and English Literature, gaining grades ABB and winning a place to read Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University.

Abu Saad WariahÌýwon the prize for the best overall performance by a retake student. He joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Handsworth Grammar School, where he had obtained grades CCC in A level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. He retook these subjects over one year at °µÍø½ûÇø, achieving grades A*AA and winning a place to read Economics at the University of Bristol.

Khai NguyenÌýwon the Gary Durrant Memorial Award for Creativity. Khai joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Vietnam to study on our two-year A level programme in Mathematics, Art and Digital Photography. He gained grades A*AB and won a place to read Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton.

Seika OsafuneÌýon the Lower Sixth Award. Seika joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Singapore to study on our two-year A level programme in English Literature, History and Mathematics. At the end of her first year at °µÍø½ûÇø she achieved grade A* in her EPQ.

Chami LeeÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø GCSE award. Chami joined °µÍø½ûÇø from South Korea and achieved GCSE grades A*,9,8,8,7,7 in one year. She has now joined our sixth form to study A levels in Biology, Mathematics, Psychology and Sociology.

Zainab YusoffÌýwon the NCUK Award. Zainab joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Malaysia to study on this nationally accredited university foundation programme. Zainab obtained grades A*A*A and won a place to read Astrophysics at the University of Manchester.

Howard XuÌýwon the college’s Outstanding Academic Achievement award. Howard joined °µÍø½ûÇø from China and completed a one-year A level programme in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Additional Further Mathematics and Physics, obtaining grades A*A*A*A*A* and also gained A* in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Howard won a place to read Mathematics at Jesus College, Oxford.

Chris MoranÌýwon the Principal’s Award for outstanding contribution to college life. Chris joined °µÍø½ûÇø after completing his GCSEs at The King’s School, Worcester. At °µÍø½ûÇø Chris started a two-year A level programme in Business Studies, Economics and Law gaining grades AAB. Chris won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham.

Charlotte transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after completing her A levels at Haybridge High School, where she had obtained grades ABB in Spanish, Biology and Chemistry and grade B in AS Physics. At °µÍø½ûÇø she completed a one-year A level programme in Chemistry and Biology, achieving grades A*A and won a place to read Medicine at the University of Liverpool.

Shivali Pathak won the Dentistry award. Shivali transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after completing her A levels at King Edward VI High School for Girls where she obtained grades BBC in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. At °µÍø½ûÇø she studied a one-year A level programme in Biology and Chemistry and a short January to June A level course in Geography. At °µÍø½ûÇø Shivali achieved grades AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Geography and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Leeds.

Ela OluwoleÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø Humanities award. Ela joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Lagos, Nigeria when she was 15 years old and studied a two-year A level programme in Economics, Biology and History, gaining grades A*AA and winning a place to read Law at the London School of Economics.

Rosemond TanÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø Science award. Rosemond joined °µÍø½ûÇø from The Raffles Girls’ School in Singapore to study a two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics. At °µÍø½ûÇø, Rosemund achieved grades A*A*A*A in Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and Biology and won a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London.

Johnny MorrisÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the most improved student. He joined °µÍø½ûÇø after completing his A levels at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester, where he obtained grades BCC in History, Business Studies and Politics. At °µÍø½ûÇø Johnny studied a one-year A level programme in Business Studies and Politics and a short retake course in History. At °µÍø½ûÇø Johnny obtained grades A*AA in Business Studies, History and Politics winning a place to read Business and Management at the University of Exeter.

Jasbir Banwait won the °µÍø½ûÇø GCSE award and joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Wolverhampton Grammar School after completing Year 9 and studied a two-year GCSE programme obtaining grades A*A*A*A*AAAA, plus 7 for Maths. Jasbir then stayed on within the sixth form at °µÍø½ûÇø where he is currently studying a two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Sylvia Xie won the Nikul Patel memorial prize for Mathematics. She joined °µÍø½ûÇø from China and completed a two-year A level programme in Mathematics, Chinese and Physics obtaining grades A*AA and also grade B in AS level Economics. She then won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Warwick.

Darius Shoja-AssadiÌýwon the Riya Dandekar memorial prize for Public Speaking. Darius joined °µÍø½ûÇø college after completing his A levels at Solihull School where he achieved grades AABB in Biology, Chemistry, History and Mathematics. At °µÍø½ûÇø Darius completed a one-year A level programme in Economics gaining an A*. Darious is now reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University College London.

Iretidayo ZaccheausÌýwon the NCUK Award. Iretidayo joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Nigeria to join our new NCUK course. On completion of the course Iretidayo was also awarded the NCUK Award: International Foundation Year – Top Performing Student. Iretidayo is now studying Business and Economics at the University of Manchester.

Sameer SultanÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for outstanding academic achievement. Sameer transferred to °µÍø½ûÇø after his first year in the sixth form at King Edward VI School Camp Hill for Boys, where he had gained AS level grades BBCC in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography.Ìý At °µÍø½ûÇø he continued on to A2 in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, obtaining grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at the University of Bristol.

Mohammed IsmailÌýandÌýXuanqing (Sunny) ZhuÌýshared the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the best performance by a two-year A level student.Ìý Mohammed joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Shireland Collegiate Academy and studied our two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.Ìý He achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Pharmacy at Aston University. ÌýSunny joined °µÍø½ûÇø from China for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.Ìý She achieved grades A*A*A* and won a place to read Mathematics, Optimisation and Statistics at Imperial College, London.

Ali joined °µÍø½ûÇø after his first year in the sixth form of Handsworth Grammar School, where he had obtained AS level grades DEUU in Mathematics, Business Studies, Chemistry and Biology. At °µÍø½ûÇø he restarted a two-year A level programme in Business Studies, Chemistry and Biology, gaining grades AAA.Ìý He won a place to read Information Technology Management for Business (Strategy and Economics) at the University of Manchester.Ìý Ali also won the Conference for Independent Education national award for Value Added.

He joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Shrewsbury School, where he had achieved A level grades CCC in Classical Civilisation, Economics and Spanish. ÌýAt °µÍø½ûÇø Jonty studied one-year A levels in Spanish, Business Studies and Classical Civilisation, achieving grades AAB and winning a place to read Spanish and Management at King’s College London.

Kyra BowmanÌýwon the Riya Dandekar memorial award for public speaking. ÌýKrya joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Frankfurt International School after completing the first year of the IB. At °µÍø½ûÇø she took a one-year A level course in Economics, History and English Literature, gaining grades AAB and winning a place to read History and Politics at the University of Exeter.

She has won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Warwick.

Sweena PatelÌýwon the Principal’s Award.Ìý Sweena joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Cadbury Sixth Form College where she had just taken AS levels in Psychology, Health and Social Care, Spanish and Biology, gaining grades DDDU. At °µÍø½ûÇø she restarted a two-year course in a new combination of subjects and gained grades AAA in A level Business Studies, Chemistry and Psychology, winning a place to read Psychology at the University of Nottingham.

Best Performance by a One-Year A Level Student

Nathan Tomlinson won the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the best performance by a one-year A level student. Nathan joined °µÍø½ûÇø as a lower-sixth transfer from King Edward’s School having previously studied the first year of the International Baccalaureate. He took our one-year A level course in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry, achieving grades A*A*A*A and winning a place to read Physics at Imperial College, London.

Best Improvement by an A Level Student

Charles NewbouldÌýwon the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the best improvement by an A level student. Charles joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Shrewsbury School having obtained grades BCD in A level Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.Ìý At °µÍø½ûÇø he took our one-year A level course in Biology together with short A level retake courses in Mathematics and Chemistry. He achieved grades AAB and won a place to read Environmental Science at the University of Nottingham.

Best Performance by a Two-Year A Level Student

Rupinder KhokharÌýwon both the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the best performance by a two-year A level student and the °µÍø½ûÇø Art prize.Ìý Rupinder joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Handsworth Grammar School to study A levels in Fine Art, Biology and Chemistry. He achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Pharmacy at Aston University.

Best Performance by an AS Level Student (shared award)

Daanish Rehman, Khan Linh Tran (Linh) and Kanghua Cui (Kevin) shared the °µÍø½ûÇø prize for the best performance by a first year A level student. Daanish joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School and at the end of his first year obtained grades AAAA in AS level Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry and Mathematics.Ìý Linh joined °µÍø½ûÇø having previously studied in Vietnam. At the end of her first year she obtained grades AAAA in AS level Government and Politics, Economics, History and Mathematics, achieving 100% in each exam. Kevin joined °µÍø½ûÇø having previously studied in China. At the end of his first year he obtained grades AAAA in AS level Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

Nikul Patel Memorial Prize for Maths

Rosie WallbankÌýwon the Nikul Patel memorial prize for Mathematics. Rosie joined °µÍø½ûÇø from Wilnecote High School, where she had obtained grades ABC in A level History, Biology and Mathematics. At °µÍø½ûÇø she took one-year A level courses in Biology and Mathematics, achieving grades A*A and winning a place to read Law at the London School of Economics.

Dentistry Award (joint award)

Hiral Sapa and Kian Dhinsa shared the °µÍø½ûÇø Dentistry Award. Hiral joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls where she had achieved A level grades AA in Biology and Geography. At °µÍø½ûÇø she took an intensive short retake course in Chemistry, obtaining grade A and winning a place to read Dentistry at the University of Sheffield.Ìý Kian joined °µÍø½ûÇø from King Edward’s School to take a short A level course in Chemistry. He too achieved grade A in Chemistry and won a place to read Dentistry at King’s College London.
